Facebook Insights

Sadly to say, in my Admin Panel under the table," Insights" it states I need to gain 6 more likes until I have allowed access to view activity. Meaning that my facebook is at a standing whole 24 likes. Some may view this as silly, however I am proud of this business and for paying for close to zero advertisements, 24 likes is a pretty good start. Not to mention that I opened my notifications to one message from a vendor similar to this business, as well as a few comments from a complete stranger. Both of these notifications started out with a positive vibe, commenting on how uniquely beautiful the pieces are. One specific man even praised the photography and background choices of our business page. These messages alone were "insights" enough for myself, and considering the circumstances of this business being officially launched (and brand new); I take these kind strangers opinion and put them in regards to what content viewers are feeding off of. Afterall, staying true to your business and content is all that a person needs to raise SEO, and I ncouldn't be happier considering the ideas I hold are unique and similar.

  1. I agree with them I love your page the pictures you post are so colorful and beautiful. I'm not sure if you are going to keep your page after the class is over, if you are I'm sure many people will follow it, maybe they haven't seen it. Make it discoverable and ask Facebook friends to like it, that's how I got many likes on my page

  2. You are right that staying true to your business and vision is the most important. I've had a FB business page since spring 2013 and I only have 70 likes and 20 or so are from this class, so I expect that will drop after the semester. So...patience I think is the operative word for me and others in terms of building an online social media network and business. Once I had 29 likes, I posted to see if anyone wanted to 'put us over the edge' so we could see insights about our page and preferences. [I quoted facebook on that to make it clear and funny]. Someone liked that post and another person commented 'here you go' and liked me. I think that person has since unliked me but they were happy to do the favor. Maybe you could do that as well-send out notes to people 'we're at 25 likes, only 5 more to go until I can see insights'. Also, maybe comments that talk to people, such as using questions sometimes: ie, what's your favorite scent? Where do you go to connect with nature? etc etc. to encourage people to reply. Best wishes with your business and social media marketing.
